Currently, we have a Volvo EX30 as our primary/daily driver. We got it in bright-freaking-yellow (or, as Volvo calls it, "moss yellow"). We got it on a lease because that was the only way to maximize the price reductions β¦and, we weren't certain we'd want to keep it. It's turned out to be a pretty decent car β really fun β and we'd been thinking, "at lease's end, we can upgrade to the 2028 model-year, if its got an improved battery and software." Unfortunately, Volvo joined most of the other marques selling
#EVs in the US and discontinued their small/"hot" options. So, a 2028 EX30 is off the table (unless Trump's spiking of oil prices causes it to make sense to Volvo to make a 2028 EX30 available in the US).
So, we started looking at likely future options. The only real equivalent is looking to be the Rivian R3 (in the high-power trim). Downside of Rivian (aside from the stooooooopid headlights) is they don't offer many colors, though, it looks like they've added a shade of purple.
We already have a purple car, though (my 2002 330Cic is "techno violet metallic"). Having two purple cars, even different shades and textures, would probably not be something we wanted to do, though.
