7/ For multivalent repRNA scenarios, the innate immune system responds to larger total repRNA doses. We hypothesized that this might impede the adaptive response to the relatively smaller monovalent repRNA dose in the mixture. To test this, Taishi analyzed the systemic innate and neutralizing antibody response to enterovirus D68 #EVD68 induced by a trivalent vaccine against RSV, Flu, and EV-D68.
Looking forward to #ASV2023! Come hear how we applied our RNA platform to target a nonenveloped virus #EVD68 (not as straightforward as enveloped viruses). See W16-9 (@DrNikkiWarner21 ) for the vaccine story and W16-1 (me) for the RNA-launched nanobody story. We applied an integrated approach using replicon RNA to develop the vaccine, use that to discover nanobodies, and then launch those from the same platform.
