iBooster all wired up with minimal swearing and, in what seems like a minor miracle, the thing actually works. I guess it’s been sitting on the shelf so long I started to worry the thing was a dud.

Certain Hondas just so happen to use an iBooster with a remote reservoir setup. I got this little guy on eBay. It uses a very small reservoir on the master and a hose leads off to another bottle elsewhere.

But, these iBoosters are all made by Bosch and you can find slightly different variants of them in loads of different cars. One way they vary is the shape of the reservoir ;) See that hex bolt? That holds on the reservoir.

So, I had a rethink about the brake booster. There’s basically no clearance between the reservoir lid and this strut. Even if I can fit the booster in there, I won’t be able to open the reservoir cap. Or at the very least I’ll be creating a problem that will annoy future me.
