(Confirmed: the brochure https://op.europa.eu/en/publication-detail/-/publication/d3e77637-a963-11eb-9585-01aa75ed71a1/language-en is a pain to navigate because it's a printing version... 😅 ) ¡Bonus: I just found out that some € 6 BILLION come from non-recycled #plastic #waste (p.22)! This is worth a post of its own, I need to tell #SamBentley (in case he's still to find out, and also invite him to the #fediverse ! 🌈☺️) Again, as it usually comes up in EU discussions, I think the main problem is people do not know these #funding programs exist. #recycling #pollution #EUfunding

In 2020, the EU provided an unprecedented response to the coronavirus crisis that hit Europe and the world. At its heart is a stimulus package worth EUR 2.018 trillion in current prices (EUR 1.8 trillion in 2018 prices). It consists of the EU’s long-term budget for 2021 to 2027 of EUR 1.211 trillion (EUR 1.074 trillion in 2018 prices), topped up by EUR 806.9 billion (EUR 750 billion in 2018 prices) through NextGenerationEU, a temporary instrument to power the recovery. The EU sets the limits of its spending in the multiannual financial framework , the EU’s long-term budget for the next 7 years. In this way, the EU secures the resources for its political priorities, like digitalisation and green deal. The budget also ensures room for flexibility, thus enabling the EU to respond to unforeseen circumstances. The 2021–2027 long-term budget, or the multiannual financial framework (MFF) of EUR 1.211 trillion, will seek to support the recovery while investing in the EU’s regions, farmers, companies, researchers, students, citizens in general as well as our neighbouring countries.

If we move down to "who benefits from the #EUbudget and #NextGenEU ", that's when it might get interesting for people like us: in addition to #borderless travel, #roaming , roads, innovation,... etc, if we focus on direct beneficiaries, that's #grants , #education & #research #loans , #subsidies for safe food production and #financialsupport for #art and #artists . ⬇️ (this continues)

So it's my 3rd day of reviewing the EU's funding programs... At least, I have finished going through the list 😅 Are you interested in any of them? May be as a student or a beneficiary? Do you already know about the programs that #companies or #municipalities can access? I'd love to know and discuss a bit about it
