@ChrisWarwick @jfparis there are quite a lot of threads on the #HomeAssistant forum about this but no consolidated list AFAIK.

If you've got a Daikin Altherma, there's #ESPAltherma which is a custom piece of code that runs on ESP/Arduino boards and reads direct from the X10A interface inside the heat pump.

I finally got my #M5Tough attached to Daikin heat pump. The grey hose is a washing machine hose (3 meters) to protected the USB cable. The #ESPAltherma sensors are coming into Home Assistant. Now to get the stats into https://heatpumpmonitor.org/

Daikin Altherma, ESPAltherma & Home Assistant with OpenEnergyMonitor

Here is my personal Daikin Altherma → ESPAltherma → Home Assistant → EmonCMS setup: I hope that it is of value to others, but do feel free to modify things, try other things out. I am not stating this is the only way of doing it. In fact, this very site has a shop which sells billing grade metering options, which will no doubt be more accurate. I chose to go the ESPAltherma route for a few reasons: can’t find a plumber generally round here willing or wanting(!) to work on a heat pump (hence...

Does anyone know how to add this Dashboard from the ESPAltherma page to Home Assistant? If not, has anyone other examples.

I programmed the #M5Tough ready for #ESPAltherma. A bit of a challenge, but the GitHub owner helped me. It is on the network and MQTT sees it in Home Assistant. All I am missing is the heat pump 😀. Progress at least.

I am hoping to start to play with my M5 Tough over the weekend. At least get it programmed. The cabling is a bit simpler than I thought. I need to find a way to weatherproof the cable, but I am not sure how to do that. The connection at the bottom is an M12. I have ordered some of these, but the cable needs to be something. Not sure what that would be called.

My m5Stack Tough and the parts I need to start my ESPAltherma project will arrive today. I will have to test it on Mum’s heat pump as mine is still in the planning permission stage.

M5Stack Tough ESP32 IoT Development Board Kit

@Stephencrown @stevewebster56 @kenbone I found this old post doing a search for ESPAltherma. Did you ever try it? #ESPAltherma

I am starting to look at #ESPAltherma and the hardware required. The hardware doesn’t seem too much of a problem.

This looks very handy as it comes in a weather proof case

The #HomeAssistant side should be ok, but I am very wary of how to make the cable. I have had some good advice in other forums. I am likely to try the M5Stick-Plus-2 option as I have had more advice on that one.

Of course still need a #HeatPump to use it 😀

I have a #ESPAltherma question

Is this what I need and I am confused by the two cable options listed on the site, 5 pins JST EH 2.5mm connector (or 4 Dupont wires M-F)

https://thepihut.com/products/m5stickc-plus2-esp32-mini-iot-development-kit

Can you get a 4 pin plug to 5 pin plug or do you buy a 4 pin plug with 4 separate wires for the Daikin end? Sorry if this is very basic question.

If anyone has any direct links to the correct parts, I would appreciate it. I am in the UK
