Charles Castleberry@itguyeric I'm an #ESO player since the beta, but I'd vote for trying FF if you haven't played it already. Neither have I, mind you, but I'm all for trying the new thing and seeing if you like it more than the old thing. If you don’t, you can always go back to the old thing you like, but then you'll know. :-)
(I’d have moved on from ESO, but I play it a couple of hours every week with family members in different cities, and it's our way of staying in touch. So I'm here for the duration. 🤷♂️)

First-ever direct image of the cosmic web reveals the Universe’s hidden highways
Astronomers have revealed the sharpest image ever captured of a filament in the cosmic web — the enormous hidden structure connecting galaxies across the Universe. The glowing strand stretches 3 million light-years and links two galaxies from nearly 12 billion years ago. By observing this faint intergalactic gas directly for the first time in such detail, scientists gained new insight into how galaxies are fueled and formed.

Despite being housed in enclosures that protect them from the extreme desert 🏜️ conditions during the day, #telescope 🔭 mirrors are still exposed at night, and therefore they need to be cleaned and #recoated to keep their reflectivity. A truck carries one of the mirrors of #ESO’s Very Large Telescope (#VLT) to the recoating facility
