Steffi GenderjahnAt the #eosc symposium, the challenges that arise when community-based developments do not lead to a decision were discussed using the example of #PIDs.
Who decides which PID systems will prevail? Various aspects were addressed: financial security, sustainability, governance, who has the authority, bottom-up developments versus top-down decisions…
These are interesting questions that we also noticed in the projects @PIDNetworkDE and #PID4NFDI.

#eoscsymposium24 is now kicking off. some numbers: over the next 3 days there will be 26 sessions, 2 keynote speakers, 130+ speakers & panelists, 20 posters, 454 on-site participants, 903 participants online, 64 countries represented (25 of those outside of europe).
