Mir kommt der Gedanke, dass das #Geld reziprok geworden ist. Je mehr etwas kostet, desto weniger ist es wert.
Die #Enshitification , das wird mir langsam klar, ist gerade dabei #Geld zu entwerten.

KautionCase in point: the Duolingo subreddit used to be user run and very critical of the #enshitification and pivot-to-AI. Recently employees of Duolingo where made mods and critical posts died down.
Droppiein my 20s & maybe 30s, #NRMA was always a good bet to have cheap/est #insurance [car, house, contents]. then all the bonkersnarity of the demerger / mutualisation / corporatisation [have i just made up a word? mind is mush atm from hours juggling contents renewal quotes online] happened & they became routinely the most expensive by laughable margins, which had been so for about the last decade+ iirc. next bit of their #enshitification, since last year's renewals; their online quoter is no longer available without creating an account & logging in. all their competitors' quoters remain available. what the hell are they doing with their beeswax? 😮🤯🙄🤦♀️

I've been trying to find a open source, decentrialized messenger to use and recommend to people, but I'm struggling to find one that is explicit in it's condemnation of AI slop. It's something I especially need to be sure of in this case, because it's already hard enough to get people to move from Discord at all.
I can personally abandon a program if the devs start making bad decisions, but I can't encourage my friends to adopt a totally new communication platform, only to find that it's being enshittified as well after we all put in the effort to switch.
