@thehill @NewsDesk this is a real threat especially on the #EMuskovy platform that has been infested with a whole host of malignant characters. Combine that with the creation of a proprietary LLM tuned to spew lies and no staff left to monitor/whistle blow or even independent researchers to monitor what is happening and you have a PERFECT STORM for AI based misinformation to sway the 2024 election. It’s very sad that more people haven’t abandoned that snake pit…

@GottaLaff sadly this report is probably only the very tip of the iceberg!

I suspect that #EMuskovy himself is enabling AI-based ChatBot troll farms on his platform to sway elections both in the US and around the globe.

We are entering a very dangerous/vulnerable time for democracies…

@philmeyer what a tragic legacy #EMuskovy is creating for himself. He’s already LOST the respect of many who thought he was making real contributions, he is KILLING all his various brands, I’m sure he is LOSING some very talented employees, now he’s openly ALIENATING business leaders/politicians.

How will it end?

Is he a modern day Howard Hughes who rather than withdraw into his own private world does a fully public RUD (Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly)?!!

@HilliTech haven’t tried it but my guess is there will be (or are) versions (not publicly available) much better at generating plausible BS that can fool a global public into swallowing whatever narrative #EMuskovy and his fascist authoritarian “friends/partners” are trying to perpetrate. Who needs a troll farm when you can spin up armies of digital bots to spread and promote disinformation and no staff is left to whistleblow on you and no external researchers can call you out.. #TwitterMustDie

@frumble @jeffjarvis surprised this reporter didn’t mention that #EMuskovy bought his social media platform with the express intention of manipulating politicians and controlling journalists so that he doesn’t get regulated. He’s a #UsefulTool for those who would like to see #Democracy die.

@jerry why do you think #EMuskovy bought #Twitter and then fired anyone who could throttle his ability to create the worlds most efficient disinformation machine? Imagine what this guy will do with this kind of capability to influence popular opinion and hence election results, financial markets etc. All while using individual’s addiction to social exposure/interactions so that they pay for it with money, content and connections… He’s betting on everyone’s gullibility.
