' not really one for anglophone pride (and any potential refusal to engage in French), ' not big on mandatory schooling, and the gazette and its publisher are worthy of much criticism, but the interview in this article https://montrealgazette.com/news/local-news/emsb-says-its-better-than-quebec-government-at-teaching-french is some damning.

Minister roberge's policies show evidence not so much of desire to protect the French language but more of real anglo hate, total disregard for reality and even his own previous whims.

It makes one question ever choosing to raise a kid in québec or even "Montréal"...

Hopefully Kanien'kéha and Anishnaabemowin will be offered as languages in the area soon.

"The CAQ needs to stop portraying the English-speaking community as a unilingual hub that refuses to learn French," EMSB chair Joe Ortona says.
