The #EnglishMontrealSchoolBoard has scored the highest graduation rate in the province for 2022-23 school year

Chairperson #JoeOrtona made the announcement at a board meeting Tuesday evening

"I am immensely proud to announce #EMSB has once again reached the pinnacle of success, achieving an astounding 95.9% success rate," Ortona said @ meeting

That puts EMSB above provincial rate of 84.2%, & above private schools @ 93.5%

The #EMSB responded on Monday after the Quebec #CourtOfAppeal rejected a #CAQ challenge to the April #SuperiorCourt ruling that exempted the #English school board from certain sections of the #FrenchLanguageCharter.

Minister roberge's policies show evidence not so much of desire to protect the French language but more of real anglo hate, total disregard for reality and even his own previous whims.

It makes one question ever choosing to raise a kid in québec or even "Montréal"...

A major #Quebec #teachers #union says it will follow the lead of the #EnglishMontrealSchoolBoard and seek to challenge the province's #Secularism law before the #SupremeCourt of #Canada.

The Federation autonome de l'enseignement, or #FAE, says in a statement today that in particular it opposes the Quebec government's use of the #Constitution's #NotwithstandingClause to shield the law from Charter challenges.
