I attended the EGU General Assembly 2026 🌍—the largest annual gathering of geoscientists in Europe with ~20,000 participants.

I presented my poster on remote sensing and forest ecosystems 🌲📡, introducing two new radar vegetation indices (RVVI & RSVI). These allow weekly, cloud-free monitoring of tree growth across Europe using reconstructed Near-Infrared of Vegetation.

It was an intense and highly rewarding week of science, exchange, and new connections.

The General Assembly 2026 of the European Geosciences Union (EGU) has finished yesterday with a party for volunteers and conveners. After 1 week of presentations and discussions among 22,497 registered attendees, of which 20,027 made their way to Vienna from 125 countries. The scientific community overcomes differences and reminds us that we are all human! #EGU2026

Thank you to everyone who came to discuss my PICO at #EGU26 today 👋
