"If an employer imposes discriminatory facility bans, misgenders workers, forces trans workers into unsafe arrangements or disciplines workers for opposing transphobia, the union can formally declare a dispute, demand withdrawal of the policy and begin the process towards industrial action if necessary. That means:
raising collective demands.
issuing a dispute letter.
serving a Notice of Intention to Ballot (NOIB).
balloting members.
taking strike action if members vote for it.
This is not just about defending trans workers. It is about defending all workers against employers using divide-and-rule politics to weaken solidarity in the workplace."
