Phoenixes are one of the longest living species, but somehow, someone is killing them off one by one.

When I find out what's going on outside of Iero, I know I can't bury my head in the sand. I have to figure out who is trying to wipe the phoenixes out before they come looking for me. I can't exactly do that from the safety of the city I call home.

For the first time in nearly fifty years, I have to venture out into the hell our world has become. I refuse the assistance the council offers me, knowing this is likely a suicide mission. But when it's time to head out, there are three men who refuse to allow me to leave on my own.

Dragon and Goat, two of the Headless Riders, who now call Iero home, and my ex, Inigo—one of the other remaining phoenixes. The one who broke my heart, and never told me why.

I don't want them with me, but they give me no choice.

Now, I just have to hope I don't get us all killed.

I was wondering how he could generate so much in #royalties - he has to return $8,091,843.64 - impossible even for pop stars, they make their real money on concerts these (late-stage-#capitalism) days.
