I'm not sure how you can live in the US without accumulating some sort of mental health or nervous system disregulation. I think you can skate through a couple of decades oblivious or in denial but at some point it all snowballs, especially if you still haven't figured out prosperity and stability, or are not cis het and white. If you arent cis het white or have added any number of non privileged intersections of being, you get an exponential increase, and or shit sooner.
Anyway. That's my soap box after listening to an audiobook on "healing your nervous system" and thinking, geezus, we must all be struggling and accumulating damage in this shit show of life, especially the last decade, two terms of Trump, and the dismantling of (not perfect) social supports.
