TL;DR: When I ran @pelgranepress's most excellent Dying Earth #ttrpg, I created a cribsheet to learn the game and to use at the table. There's a link to the original Google Doc included so you can download or comment.
The game catches the feel of the books very well, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Wonderful weekend at #FurnaceCon in Sheffield. Okay, I'm biased as I help to organise it with @eladrin but I had five fantastic #ttrpg sessions & met up with old friends.
Played #OldGodsOfAppalachia (set in Scotland) and run by @PaulBaldowski, facilitated #TheZoneRPG and later #Revolt. Sunday brought a game of @TheTweedmeister's #Liminal run by a fellow organiser & then I ran @pelgranepress's #DyingEarthRPG (in revivified form) where everyone was whimsical & bad. As I said, wonderful.

14. my characters tend to have a fondness for ornate, multi-tiered hats. i picked this habit up from the #DyingEarthRPG and i"m never letting it go, and you can't make me!
and even if "all the crap in the shadows [came] sluicing out at the first glance of a PC" (h/t Jason Corley), more over the top than #OTE, it worked out.
if I did this today, it'd either be with #OverTheEdge 3e or #ModernAGE.
in 2003 i played a #DyingEarthRPG PC in a short-lived #Exalted campaign where i think the GM didn't quite understand the scope of the setting or the capabilities of the PCs. frankly it should've been a mortals game.
