My 8 YO child was busy spelling words instead of finishing her meal. I spelled to her that if she didn't finish there would be "N-O C-A-K-E".
My 3 YO said, "no cake‽" I was floored. Yes, I'd been working with him on #Duolingo ABC & he's doing well, but I didn't expect him to be ready yet to understand words spelled out. Amazing progress!

Eric TrueI finally reset my #Duolingo progress by removing and re-adding the Japanese course, so I could redo a year+ worth of material that I had stupidly rushed through. Fortunately, restarting wasn’t painful — the assessment landed me at roughly the right difficulty level.

Hiragana is difficult, at least for me. I'm trying, anyway. #duolingo is a very good time soak and diversion from awful world news.
