Dungeon People feels like a pretty average slice of life anime with a fantasy setting. Despite being considered an adventure anime, it's not really about adventure. And while it's also considered a comedy, that's more of a catch-all genre at this point.
While Dungeon People may seem like a dungeon builder anime, it's actually more of a workplace simulator. It takes some of the more interesting things about running a dungeon and turns them into boring 9-to-5 tasks.
Dungeon People has a far more interesting world than I would have guessed. It's just too bad that we don't get to explore it much in the way I would have liked. The series is more about the "backstage" aspects of the dungeon.
