This is the problem we have. Folk call out the bias and terrible reporting of the supposed impartial or left-ish news outlets like #TheGuardian and the BBC, and people reply with: 'Yeah, but I still read and watch their news because I still kinda trust it, despite decades of examples for why I shouldn't! Bleuh! Bleuh! Bleuh! Fingers in my ears I'm not listening!'

Every now and then I read someone telling of their surprise at how the #BBC or the #Guardian is joining in with the right wing narratives, and I'm like, have you not paid attention for the past 20 years?

I mean, the BBC has been pro-establishment from the beginning. It is clear from the sorts of things it covers. This so called impartial service never has an anti-monarchy voice during some royal event, and it regularly portrays the West and NATO as the good guys.

It is a problem that people are still looking at their content for news, and are still surprised by their right-leaning content.
