Just finished watching #ShinyHappyPeople the documentary about the #IBLP #Cult and the #DuggarFamily
The information was mostly old hat to me, but it still managed to be informative and shocking. I give it a recommendation, but be warned. It covers some disturbing topics.
From 2007 to 2015, the Duggars, a conservative Christian family from Arkansas, starred on a TLC reality TV show named after their ever-expanding family. A new docuseries, "Shiny Happy People" reveals the scaffolding on which their fame was built: the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP), a fundamentalist Christian ministry with links to the religious right. Here's more on the documentary, which is on Amazon Prime.

A girl got in trouble at an Institute for Basic Life Principles camp thing because she used tampons during her period, thus removing her virginity, the "right" of her future husband.
I wish these fuckers and Gothard would get raided.
Also, Gothard: Never married, no kids, in his 80s. #Duggar #DuggarFamily #InsituteForBasicLifewPrinciples #ChristianFundamentalism #ChristianNationalism #ShinyHappyPeople #BillGothard
Imagine fucking laughing at the idea of a kid getting beat. And beating a kid because they didn't hug you sincerely enough after you beat them.
And this one bitch bragging about beating for 14 MONTH old for not being a meek doll looks as much a witch as she acts like one. #InstituteForBasicLifePrinciples #Duggar #DuggarFamily #ChristianFundamentalism #ChristianNationalism. #ShinyHappyPeople
