In 2003, we were protesting in the streets against a march towards attacking #Iraq in what was clearly a #WarForOil.
The #Dubya Administration denied it, but the rest of the world knew better.

While the #Dubya Admin never revealed who "Curveball" was, we did eventually figure out it was exiled Iraqi dissident Ahmed Chalibi... who was later revealed/branded "an Iranian spy" when they "discovered" there were no WMD's.
Bush's one & only exit strategy for Iraq was to replace Saddam with Chalibi. But when they discovered they had been duped, that left them with no way out.

I remember in 2000, long-haul truckers went on strike b/c the cost of diesel rose 20cents/gal to $1.89.
Candidate #Dubya said that if he were elected, he'd tell OPEC to "open the spigots".
Then he invaded #Iraq, the price oil went from $28 to $149, and never got close to under $30 again.
Gas prices tripled and the economy crashed b/c no one could afford their "interest only loans" any longer.
...and that's EXACTLY where I see us going again.
