Just watched "Ganja & Hess", an original take on vampire films but not so original take on underground art house films. Sometimes it came off as some kind of poetry slam contest.

He have a special kind of "stoic hero"-vibe to him and was a master of shooting somebody the "I don't give a fuck"-look. I don't think we have a lot of actors these day that got that. Definitely a film that stands the test of time. Certainly still creeps me out nearly 40 years after I first saw it. The social commentary, intentional or accidental, is still relevant. Director George A. Romero and screenwriter John A. Russo gives us one of the earliest (and certainly one of the most important) zombie apocalypse film.
