 Fonkin, my  gnome, has been wearing a Shade Cloak because he is famously bad at stealth. (This one is homebrewed to give advantage on stealth rolls, too.) I am out of attunement slots, so I dropped that to go back to my  Spider-Boots. (Slippers of Spider Climbing, but my DM is the founder of #DrunkPete so he agrees the boots are better.)

I think this going to be the right idea. He might need to hide more often and have much better outcomes with the cloak, but walking up walls and things like that are much more fun. He tends to walk along the dungeon ceiling instead of the floor, because he's short. It also helps him stay out of the way of attackers, because he's squishy.
