NYC march was definitely the biggest so far. I marched from 2 to 3:30, from 54th to 36th, took the train back home to 49th Times Square and the march kept going till well after 4! [1/?]

jabsonikWo-hoo! I was wondering how hard it would be to record #Roland v-#drums into #Renoise to dedicated tracks for each pad group. The answer: not hard at all.
Ofc you can record them directly to #DAW, but going via Renoise I can separate them right away for mixing. This way it’ll resemble regular drum mixing a lot. _And_ I can select different Abbey Road #drumset for every track, if I like. (And quite often I do.)

Two things, not sure how well they work for all cases. There’s a tool that will split a single track into multiple tracks based on assorted properties: https://www.renoise.com/tools/split-into-separate-tracks You can also record to different tracks right from the start if your drum-pad can be set to send each pad on a different channel. You can the create separate instruments that a) only listen for MIDI on a given channel, and b) are coupled to a specific track. I did this just now with my ...
