9Th CIRCUIT COURT
ENDS TPS, SUPPORTS DJT ETHNIC CLEANSING : DEPORTATIONS
T0 PROGEED FOR 60,000 LONG-
TERM RESIDENTS FROM NEPAL,
HONDURAS AND NICARAGUA
This wk, a three-judge panel on the #WestCoast's typically more liberal 9th Circuit U.S. #Court of Appeals explained they had to follow precedent and cleared path for #Drrumpf admin "to move forward with ending deportation protections for more than 60,000 migrants from #Nepal, as well as refuge seeking #Hondurans and #Nicaraguans," who had previously been granted Temporary Protected Status, but were no more entitled to it after #SCOTUS threw #Venezuelan #immigrants under a similar bus.
The panel declined to consider the harm their decision would inflict on TPS holders, and instead cited the U.S. Supreme Court’s prior shadow docket orders in the previous higher court case. The 9th circuit panel judges added "we have been admonished that the (higher) court's stay orders must inform" their decisions.
The ruling leaves thousands of immigrants who have lived in the U.S. for more than two decades at risk of detention and deportation.
