Both organizations said they had over 100 applicants for each opportunity.

Art is hard.

Grant funding seems like some mythical utopia, only for those who know the gatekeepers' passwords.

My constant work goes constantly unpaid. Unrewarded. Rejected.

Self-doubt stands close, shaking its head and muttering 'Told you so'.

Overwhelmed by a desperate melancholia, I am frozen.

Is there any succour to be had?
