Book 44 is "Arcanum Unbounded", short stories from the Cosmere by Brandon Sanderson.

Started and finished 18th August. I'd already read some of them earlier at appropriate points in my journey through different planets. This was catching up on the two standalone offerings: "Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell" and "Sixth of the Dusk".
