I got a bunch of notifications in #Droidify that there were problems with automatic updates. Turns out, that two of my apps have up to 4 versions with identical version numbers, but different file sizes. The app now tries to update VLC version 3.7.0 to 3.7.0 and then fails. Never had this problem in the past. How does Droidfy decide which version to chose? Is it a problem with third party repos? Can I change settings so I can see a versions repo? Any tips and tricks are appreciated.

How can this happen in #Droidify? I wonder why I have various entries which look the same but are different. For example, the latest one which is suggested to be installed does not install

#vlc

#Droidify
#Aveslibre
#Vlc
#GOS

Today, I got an update in droidify for these two applications, but both don't update. I get an error message.
Install failed, no matching abis.

I removed them from my device and tried to freshly install the adroitify, but I get the same problem.
Any idea?

@trisschen We're not seeing this with either #FDroid 1.23.2 or F-Droid Basic 2.0-alpha4

Are you sure you are not using #Droidify instead? They don't support index-v2 yet, and they are aware of an issue that sounds like yours: https://github.com/Droid-ify/client/issues/1266#issuecomment-4043937697

My #FOSDEM2026 lightning talk about #IzzyOnDroid download statistics just went live on https://fosdem.org/2026/schedule/event/NJV978-izzyondroid_download_statistics/.

It's a quick (8 minute) talk on how we collect and distribute download statistics at IzzyOnDroid with the slides being full of text to try to keep them usable as reference material.

These download statistics are currently used by #Droidify and #NeoStore to let you more easily find promising #FOSS apps for your use case.

#FOSDEM was exhausting but amazing. Was lovely to see so many #IzzyOnDroid users and to hear how much people love #Droidify and #NeoStore!

Learning more about #SHIFT and #BlissLabs was great too, what great projects to share our stand with!

And y'all are sticker monsters, I started running out of #Catima stickers so much faster than expected but it was lovely to hear how many people love the project :)

Thank you all for making #FOSDEM2026 this fun and memorable! :)

Adiós F-Droid.

That's quite nice a video, and very informative – thanks! For the curious:
