@iamwahl You stick the vodka and olive oil in a blender, give it a thorough blend then chuck it quickly into a tub and into the freezer. the fat separates from the vodka but leaves an essence. then you scrape the fat off the next day to get this sort of cloudy flavoured vodka. Shaken with milk, cream and ice and strained. very nice. The yellow on top is a few drops of the oil you separate from the vodka.
In the land of christmas booze the girlfriend and I made these fat washed vodka cocktails over christmas. it was my first time doing fat washing and this was done with olive oil. Sounded horrible, in practice it was like drinking ice cream.
