The RE18 #drielandentrein train service between Maastricht and Liège-Guillemins consisted fully of SNCB AM80 units today, instead of Arriva FLIRT units 😀.

Instagram: Am 1. Juli 2024 wurde der "Dreiländerzug" um eine belgische Strecke erweitert. Die FLIRT3-Züge von Arriva Nederland, ausgestattet mit dem Stadler Guardia ETCS-System, ersetzen nun die alten AM80 "Break"-Einheiten. Die Erweiterung war aufgrund fehlender ETCS zunächst verzögert. Al diverse toots kwamen voorbij over dat elektrisch vliegen met 1, 5 persoon tussen Luik en Maastricht/Aken. Maar dat er ook vanaf gisteren een trein tussen de 3 steden (in 3 verschillende landen) rijdt hoor ik pas nu over van @burger_jaap (en dan nog wel in t Engels!).
