Getting ready to hang out bitter persimmons. They become sweet dried persimmons in a few weeks...

Leaving a t-shaped branch on the fruit is very important. The twig is needed so you can hang the fruit out to dry. Noticing the lack of top twigs saved me from buying a big bag of the wrong kind (the sweet kind, which are great, but it's hard to get through a big bag of them before they get too mushy for our tastes...) I had just got the same size and type of clear bag a few days ago and was in a rush... We used to get little fruits off trees in a local park or along a road among mountains somewhere but haven't had as much of that sort of leisure time lately... These big store-bought ones will probably be nice too though..
