The label was afraid to release it as a commercial single as they feared it might do better than 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂, the title track to the album. She hesitated in recording because she didn’t want it to sound bad, but after her dad pushed her to give it a try, it turned out to be perfect and the hoarse voice blended well with the ranchera / mariachi style of the song.
