Second day of our #Drava trip. Instead of following the Drava and Alpe Adria route we made a detour to #MillstätterSee. Tomorrow Ossiacher See / Osojsko jezero and other small lakes around Villach / Beljak.

I was born in Maribor, Slovenia, and I lived in Maribor and close to it for my first (almost) 20 years, so #river #Drava has a special place in my heart. Today we cycled from it's source close to Dobbiaco, Italy, to Feistritz, Austria. It was very nice looking at the river developing from a small stream, growing slowly. Walking in her waters was a nice connection. Tomorrow continuing...

V petek, 28. 11. 2025, je ekipa NLZOH.si obiskala lokacijo Grabe ob Dravi, kjer je vzorčila bentoške nevretenčarje. Ti bodo pomagali pri analizah težkih kovin in spremljanju kakovosti vode.

Am Freitag, dem 28. 11. 2025, besuchte das NLZOH-Team den Standort Grabe an der Drau, wo benthische Wirbellose untersucht wurden. Diese werden bei der Analyse von Schwermetallen und der Überwachung der Wasserqualität helfen.

First day of #Prekmurje (Over Mura) cycling trip, in reality not yet crossing the Mura river. We basically followed #Drava from #Ptuj to #Ormož and then went uphill to #SlovenskeGorice.

Heute im Hotel gab es das Frühstück nur à la carte und eigentlich muss ich sagen, dass ich das für eine vernünftige Option halte, nicht aus Gründen der Vermeidung von Verschwendung, wie es das Hotel angegeben hat, was aber ein wichtiger Grund ist, wenn man sich den Footprint so einer Reise mit Hotel- und Pensionsübernachtungen vor Augen hält. Ich mag das auch, weil das Frühstück dann wirklich frisch ist. Kein warm gehaltenes Rührei oder Kaffee aus dem Automaten sondern knusprige Semmeln, frisch zubereitetes Omelette mit Gemüse und Capuccino mit richtigem Schaum aus dem Siebträger. Dass man dafür schon vor dem Kaffee mit jemand reden muss, nehmen wir in Kauf.
