I went to a #DragShow this weekend, and I had a pretty good time. But I could tell at times they were trying to appeal to a non-queer audience. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but a lot of the humor struck me as "don't worry, we're not like *those* (trans, anti-Church, communist) queers". I'd love to go to a show that's just #queer people sometime.
