I think I want to find a #DnD group.

It’s been 30+ years since I played D&D proper (AD&D2e, to be exact) and more than 20 since role playing generally (Palladium/Rifts stuff). I’m open to other systems but I’ve always loved the #Dragonlance setting via the novels.

I’d like to find a group of people roughly my age (30s-50s) locally in #yeg metro. My only challenge is that I travel a lot for work and have a small kid meaning I’m not super flexible on schedule.

Any tips on how to find a group?

I’m suddenly struck with a memory of reading a quartet of slim fantasy novels back when I was a kid … say, 1985/86/87 or so. These would have been paperback sized, but thin, maybe only 1/4” thick. They were packed in a printed paperboard slipcase. Each book had a dominant color on the spine and (perhaps?) around the cover image. Book 1 was definitely red.

It’s *possible* that these were Dungeons & Dragons stories, like mini Dragonlsnce novels, but I really can’t be sure. This was 40 years ago after all!

It’s also possible that these had some kind of a choose-your-own-adventure element? I was really into the Lone Wolf stuff from Joe Dever back then.

I’m hoping this might strike a chord with someone else out there in the Fediverse. Please boost!

Lazy morning today. Mum put Captain America: Winter Soldier on before she left for work.

I'm finishing it.

It's my favorite Marvel movie. But, it fits so well w/ the theme of this past weekend.

Ran the final session of the #Dragonlance module last night. (Had to postpone last week.)

Flying citadel was brought down. Dragon Army routed. But, Steve lost sight of the Winter Knight. Again. He knows he survived. But, he's gone.

And likely will be Steve's focus as we move into homebrew territory.

Prepping for tomorrow's #Dragonlance session. We *should* be finishing the module, if luck holds. I'm tweaking it rather a bit to allow for a smoother transition to the rest of the campaign which will all be homebrewed and all the the players to participate in the larger War of the Lance.

Ah ja die Post war da. Ich liebe #dragonlance einfach. Lese die Serie schon seit ich ein Teenager war. Deswegen musste die Collectors Edition einfach sein.

Strange new worlds musste auch sein, einfach damit die Sammlung vollständig ist.
