Ich hatte ja gehofft, daß die Lithium-freien Natrium-Ionen-Akkus den Markt schon etwas weiter durchdrungen hätten. Das fängt aber gerade erst an. Vielleicht nächstes Jahr. Bis dahin hat sich hoffentlich auch geklärt, ob an der #DonutBattery wirklich was dran ist.

donut-wunderbatterie: der hersteller legt nach: https://idonutbelieve.com/ -- scheint so ein scheibchenweises veröffentlichen zu sein, um den hype hoch zu halten, immerhin mit einem unabhängigen testergebnis (soweit ich das beurteilen kann), das zumindest belegt, daß die zelle auch bei 11C nicht abbrennt und nach 7 zyklen ihre kapazität beibehält...

Donut Lab delivered the first set of test results from VTT. Very promising. The Cells can Charge at 11C. If the other claims of Donut Lab are true aswell, it is so crazy. It would change the world.

So far, I haven't read nothing but skepticism about the extraordinary promises of #DonutLab and their new #solidstate #battery.

So it's either a remarkable #scam (more likely according to sources) or an interesting new technology. 🍿

VTT, a well renowned technical lad in Finnland, has confirmed, that it tested the Donut battery. The test results will be published on monday. If this battery proofs to be what Donut Lab says, it will change the whole battery industry and far beyond.
The most important facts Donut claims:
- 400 wh/kg
- 5 Minutes full charge (cooled)
- 99% capacity at -30deg and at 100deg Celsius
- cyclelife of 100.000
- less expensive than lithium ion

I think I got caught by a hype. But I don't know, if that hype is caused by a real technological breakthrough or a scam. Can you help me?
I'm talking about the Donut battery. Produced by Donut Lab, or by CT Coating AG Königswinter or maybe Nordic Nano. The specs are crazy in their combination. 400 wh/kg, 100.000 cycles, 5min charge, -30deg to 100deg Celsius with 99% capacity.
The german podcast "Geladen" is speculating the batteries are screen printed by CT Coating. A lot of discussions going on on Reddit.
Donut Lab has announced a series of videos to proof it's real. Starting 20th of February. There was even a leak of a homepage, in wich they claimed 3rd party verification by finnish VTT.
On the other hand they could have provided 3rd party verification from the start. The people who think it's scam, think they collect money and then run away with it.
