#DontLookNow (1973)
A married couple grieving the recent death of their young daughter are in Venice when they encounter two elderly sisters, one of whom is psychic and brings a warning from beyond.
3/5⭐️
All I can say is; this is a true cinematic treasure. The film is rich with symbolism and clever layers, such as the use of an empty Venice as a metaphor for a labyrinth. One specific element in cinema I particularly admire is the use of 'repetition'; the imagery of mirrors, stained glass, (broken) shapes, and colors ... all is used very smartly throughout the film. Anyway. Without giving too much away, I can say that "Don't Look Now" is a masterclass in editing.
