I know many people consider hypnosis edge play, whereas I consider it generally safe. Generally. There are risky things you need to be aware of:
- Undermining sense of self & identity (don't name identities, focus on facets instead. Don't suggest autonomy)
- Undermining sense of reality (Consensual gaslighting is still gaslighting and carries risk)
- Permanent changes (everything should be scoped and closed, don't do therapy)
- Powerful emotions & trauma (Know how to handle an abreaction)
