往返深圳和廣州的車程裡，雖然路經過 #東莞 多次，但在去年才初次踏足這一個城市。東莞幅員廣闊，在曾經知名但早已殞落的色情事業外，不少鎮街俱有各自的特色。

莞城是東莞較早發展的地方，裡面的 #騎樓 街，跟其他廣東省城市相比，絕不輸蝕，但去年到訪的時候，卻發現這些騎樓街，正進行所謂的活化改造，就連這座極具地利優勢，曾經作為「東方紅照相館」的轉角騎樓，亦無法倖免，不堪入目，街道亦顯得冷清。

聽說這名為「東莞記憶」的活化工程，第一階段已於本年初完成開放，有機會的話，將來可以再逛一下。
