I caught two movies on Netflix yesterday that I loved and recommend highly.
The first is Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein. Absolutely and by far the best rendition of Mary Shelley's novel ever made. Lavish and gorgeous, it actually tells the monster's side in his own words, which most films don't even bother to do.
The second is a re-telling of the Stepford Wives, Don't Worry Darling. It really shone a light on the patriarchal conservatism that is destroying the US. A scathing rendition of red-pill bullshit with a modern twist that is all too possible.
