Sting among the Dutch masters: a concert against the backdrop of Ronda di Notte at the Rijksmuseum.

With Dominic Miller and two guitars, the singer performs twelve songs ranging from the musical autobiographical The Last Ship to classics like Roxanne, Fragile, and Fields of Gold. The special produced by Arte will also become a disc.

Etwa ein Jahr ist es her - eines der schönsten und berührendsten Konzerte, die ich je erlebt habe. Dominic Miller, der legendäre Sting-Gitarrist, war im intimen A-Trane Berlin zu erleben. Es war so wunderbar, dass ich vor Glück geweint habe.

Leider habe ich nur Videos von dem Konzert, sonst wäre es mein Beitrag zum #FotoVorschlag 'Instrument' gewesen...

Thanks to Sting for booking Mohegan Sun Arena on a Tuesday in November. Horribly undersold and that is the only way I could ever afford to see the bougie "Sting 3.0" show, which was a ton of fun. Chock full of hits, the superfan in me could not be disappointed. A lot of Dominic Miller guitar, which works for my ears.

The trio arrangements of some of his more "high production" solo songs were awkward at times. Sometimes too sparse (Mad About You), sometimes augmented by some playback elements (A Thousand Years, Desert Rose). But the show was great.
