The list of #Russia's targets in Odesa last night were all either historic sites or iconic #Odesa, like the #Dolphinarium.
Russians now seek total destruction of the city to demoralize a population that is so closely tied to it culturally.
Russian culture is death.
On June 19, 14-year-old Miranda and 15-year-old Plombir were rescued from Kharkiv's <<<Nemo>> and transported to Europe's largest #oceanarium. At the time, #Kharkiv had been severely damaged by ongoing russian strikes, and the #dolphinarium had been without power for days, forcing the #belugas to swim in warm water instead of their natural Arctic environment.
Miranda and Plombir are now settling into their new home in #Valencia, #Spain.

But there's also some heartache - the #TelAviv #dolphinarium with all its history, full of life and death, of beauty and pain - from the #dolphin shows to the #discotheque, from the dastardly #massacre of 2001 to the #graffiti covered #surf school... is no more.
Back in August of 2017, Liam taught me surfing here. Less than nine months later, the building was demolished.
The beachfront is still a construction site.
