We enrolled him in scent training classes, and he's sitting next to five other dogs. But he's so excited about training, that he is relaxed and calmly waiting his turn to go search for scents. Good Work Dog!Anecdotally, as a trainer, I do get more doodles with behavior issues than other breeds. But I don’t believe the problem is the cross breeding or the poodle part—it’s that buyers want doodles and breeders are cranking them out as fast as they can. Too many breeders are focusing on looks instead of temperament, and fast turnaround of litters—so they’re not selling mentally healthy puppies. And because the doodles are so popular, they are over-represented in the gen pop. When I was young, it was golden retrievers, and they had the highest numbers of reported bites.

MelAny tips on getting a dog to stop running up to the cats? She was fine the first few weeks, mostly ignored them. Now she is running up to them randomly. Not in a vicious manner, more playful, but obviously it scares the cats. I have places they can go that she can’t and they still wander the house as usual but I’d like the behavior to stop for the cats benefit.
(I will be getting training but money is a bit tight at the moment).

I wasn't planning this for today but saw she was comfortable and focused on going out rather than the #muzzle and decided this was a good moment. It worked well.
