HollieFinished the show tonight. It was a fun watch, I liked a lot of it. The demons made more sense at the end, and I liked how they ended up being sort of the genetic base recipe to everyone else. Diana's character development had some holes but I didn't get too caught up in them. It was interesting how they wardrobed her. At the beginning it was glossy perfect hair and clothes that were always the same --->
(2/2) ....on that note, why aren't the demons and witches asking to become vampires? Would their power be compounded? Is that the real reason Philipe said no to interspecies mingling, because mingling leads to canoodling?
And DEMONS - what the heck do they even do, besides be earnest and persecuted? They're lovely people but I can't tell them apart from the humans.
(I've never read the books, are these things explained?)
SO MANY QUESTIONS! I'm not done yet, I have three episodes left.
One of the things I liked about Jupiter Ascending was the concept that at cosmic proportions of industry and wealth, time becomes currency. So like....why are the witches and demons not asking to be vampires? How does a trio of species have any semblance of equality when the vampires clearly hold the far more powerful hand? They can literally shape history.

S1 is available on hoopla - your library probably has access, check it out! - but they don't have the later seasons yet, and I have Google Rewards money I need to spend before it expires.)
GraceTooStarted watching #DiscoveryOfWitches last night. The first episode had me rolling my eyes at the dialogue but it got better & sucked me in. Ended up binging 5 episodes. Realized afterwards I downloaded the audio book years ago but never listened. Will start the book tonight.
