I live between Los Angeles and Palisades, and my job is just below the Eaton fire.
I may not have a job soon. Fingers still crossed.
But at the very least I won't be working for a while if anyone in LA needs help or work done.

The fires are burning about four miles north of my apartment now just above Hollywood Blvd.
I know it probably won't happen, but I am really hoping I don't lose my apartment months after getting it. Would have to burn all the way into Korea Town for that.
My job may burn down too.
Wouldn't know what to do if I lost everything again after just getting it back months ago from being homeless.
Man. What a life.

Yea those aren't clouds near downtown LA. That is smoke, and you can stare straight at the orange sun just fine, and it looks like sunset at 9:15 in the morning when usually it is bright and sunny.
Kind of reminds me of all those videos from the Australian fires, and the picture doesn't do justice to how apocalyptic it looks outside at the moment with ash just falling out of the sky.
