I’m probably going to unfollow a couple of accounts that post cute animal pictures because they don’t include full descriptions in their alt text for those pictures. I like the pics, but it only takes a few minutes to add a decent description in alt text and I don’t want to support anyone who isn’t willing to take that small step for people with visual #disabilities. #AltText #DisabilityAccommodation

When picking a #mastodon server, or trusting advice on a #DisabilityAccommodation, or reading a journal article, check who funded the work, check credentials, check for potential conflicts of interest (disclosed or not), and make the best decision you can.
