Daily Montanan: Digitally altered political mailers spur lawsuit over Montana AI law. “Two state lawmakers running in Republican primary elections have said that hundreds of mailers sent out depicting them waving a pride flag and wearing a button with pronouns on it violate a Montana law prohibiting the use of artificial intelligence to produce ‘deepfakes’ in campaign materials.”

The Washington Post have found something interesting:
Russia's SVR proposed staging a fake assassination attempt on Hungary's Orbán to "fundamentally alter the entire paradigm of the election campaign" ...

... and the assassination attempt on Trump was perhaps staged? It is conceivable.
Russia has been interfering in election campaigns in the West for years.

MS NOW: Dark money group offers influencers $1,500 for posts attacking Chicago Democratic primary candidate. “A week out from a crowded and contentious Democratic primary in Illinois’s 9th Congressional District, Amanda Informed, an online influencer in Florida received an email with an offer: one negative post about candidate Kat Abughazaleh on Instagram and TikTok, for $1,500.”

Incidentally, a Péter Magyar –same name as the opposition leader, tons of photos with Viktor Orbán and his cabinet member - is running as an “independent” in a western Hungarian constituency in order to deceive voters.

#Democrats sue to keep polls open in a New Jersey county after unfounded bomb threats. The party is asking to extend poll closings in Passaic County until 9 p.m. There are about 340,000 registered voters in the key swing county.
A court hearing is expected imminently.
