At the weekend, I found my old digital camera again.
A 'Nikon Coolpix L820'.
When I was playing around with it a bit, I noticed that there’s definitely something to be made of it, particularly when it comes to black and white.
Of course, I didn’t have much control over the result, but every now and then a few very nice glitches came out.
The combination of sitting in a moving car, the night, a dirty windscreen and this camera led to some really nice results

Finally got the chance to take some photos around Liverpool on my Sony Mavica FD200 that @ABitOLace kindy gave to me. Considering the fact that this is a digital camera that's as old as I am these photos are actually really good when viewed in their native resolution.

On a recent business trip to Dublin work got us tickets to a hop-on bus to go sight-seeing. It was my first time traveling internationally since getting my Mavica, so it was fun to put it through its paces.

I took ~130 pictures across ten floppies, changing disks definitely was a conversation starter. One of the people on the trip wasn't even born when the camera came out!

Get a portable #digitalcamera, disable the camera app all together:

To avoid risk of #ageverification just to take pictures.

And to take #pictures at the moment because you feel something is cool again, without feeling like you're doing it just for social media cred.
Because you can't (usually) auto upload it to #socialmedia from a simple Camara makes you prioritise the actual experience more.

And so you aren't reliant on just one device for everything.

You can easily get a #portable #1080p camera for less then 100$ compared to #monopolistic modern #smartphones and PCs/laptops this price is unheard of for basic specs. Today basic specs would be at least 1080p. At the lowest.

Getting a separate camera might seem small or redundant but when you diversify your tech apps into separate devices, You can shift the balance of tech devices.
