This is a section of the emission #nebula #IC1396, including the Elephant's Trunk Nebula (#IC1396A). It gets its name from the prominent dust forming a trunk-like shape.

This image was created from 228 × 30 s (1 h 54 m) exposures from Bortle 4 with a ~5% moon below the horizon.

Processing was done in #Siril with the help of #GraXpert, #StarNet++ and #VeraLux StarComposer, as well as #GMIC in #GIMP.

An unidentified spider on a rose leaf. It used the rolled-in leaf as protection and was very shy, so I was not able to get a different angle or identify the species. The models on iNaturalist classify it as potentially Anyphaena accentuata (Vierfleck-Zartspinne), which uses rolled-in leaves as a home during the day and hunts at night. But I cannot verify this, as the spider left the rose bush since then.

Letzte Woche war #DiDay. Aktuell spiele ich von meinen Fotos alle Metadaten zu #Digikam. Warum? Weil ich auf Dauer ganz zu #Linux Mint wechseln will. Mein #CaptureOne kann da leider nicht mit. Aber hier sind alle meine Fotos sortiert. Also erst mal alle Tags auf Linux lesbar machen in Digikam und als nächsten Schritt das Fotoprogramm #Darktable lernen.
Und: Digikam funktioniert. #dutgemacht
