🔬 Effect of Dietary Sodium on Blood Pressure: A Crossover Trial

When participants ate less salt for a week, their systolic blood pressure dropped by an average of 8 mm Hg. Seventy-three percent experienced a meaningful reduction, including people taking blood pressure medication. More than half of those who responded weren’t identified as salt-sensitive using older standards.
