While the early morning #dewdrops

sparkles like diamonds in sun
on my suburban squire's lawn
I know from past experience
that if I mow now
the clippings clump effect
of this moistened sod
on my ancient mower chute
will be a clogged catastrophe
that will cause me
much inconvenience and grief
which I really don't need

For you see
I have reached an age
where I value utility
over useless beauty

Early One Morning

You’ll know by now, I expect, I have a thing for tulips. I absolutely understand why they went nuts for them in the sixteen hundreds… Anyhow, waiting for everyone to be ready to go out (there are two of us in this household, just sayin’), I had a wander in the back garden.

Just a fifteen minute grab session… hope you enjoy the view.
